(Donna Glodjo is our amazing office manager at Eccentrics Boutique. She has a heart of gold and a shining love for Jesus. We asked her to share a devotion with us that speaks to her heart today.)

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Psalm 19:1

There are so many things to love about fall! The racks at Eccentrics are loaded with wonderful selections to keep us cozy and stylish as we head out to football games, fall festivals, pumpkin patches and apple orchards. Cooler temperatures and shorter days have us feeling just a little cozier and contented in our homes at the end of the day. And who doesn’t love all the autumn-inspired treats – s’mores, pumpkin pie, apple crisp, hot chocolate, pumpkin spice-flavored everything??

These are wonderful “fall feels,” but the greatest treasures can be found when we quietly step away into the outdoors and experience God by seeing his reflection in the beauty of nature. Look up at the vivid blue of the October skies. Breathe deeply of the crisp, refreshing air. Look across the horizons at dawn and dusk for glorious sunrises and sunsets. I love how contemporary Christian artist Chris Tomlin calls the sunrise God’s “love letter in the sky.” Soak up the beauty of the leaves turning colors and watch as they gracefully fall to the ground.

When we take time to meditate on the magnificence of God’s creation, we can’t help but feel His glory, power, and presence. Nourishment and healing for our souls can be found as we are reminded of His awesome love for us. May you have a joy-filled, blessed fall season!

Amen!! Even in the midst of California’s firestorms or the recent hurricanes of the SW. Atlantic, God’s beauty and love prevail in the spirits and hope of those so adversely effected.
To God be the Glory!!
