Have you ever tried to organize a family photo shoot with 3 little kids? Some of you might have blocked that experience from your memory. My most recent experience is still very, very fresh in my mind. This was my first family shoot with all three kiddos walking...well, more like running circles around me and Aaron.

Very rarely is there a photo of one child looking at the camera with a sweet smile..let alone all three!! All of my magazine-worthy poses are out the window. We just show up with cute outfits and let nature take its course. We are usually breathless from laughter and shocked because we have no idea what's going to happen. Whether it is Elle smacking her little booty or Ledger giving his sister a sincere hug, we couldn't plan any of these scenes in advance.

And you know what? I wouldn't trade any of this for anything. These are the days, and we know they will go by fast. Who am I kidding? They already are. Ledger will be in grade school. Elle already has a huge personality. And baby Indy is already walking!!

I need time to slow down for a bit. So I can just stand back and actually take it all in. That's what these photos are for: small frozen moments to always revisit.

These little humans are my life. Without them, I wouldn't have the honor of being called "mother."

Happy Mother's Day from my crew to yours!
