You've Got a Pizza My Heart
Valentine's Day isn't always high heels and fancy restaurants. Sometimes the best way to celebrate is at home with your honey surrounded with the kids. And this year, that has never been more true. I'm spending Valentine's Day with just a couple weeks until baby #3 is here and we are preparing for that arrival. We will be having a romantic stroll down Target's baby aisle.
But here's the deal. There's all these expectations to have a romance-filled day of love on February 14th. Some years, the magic is less than you expect. So how do make a special day feel special, when in reality it's close to ordinary?
Sometimes you just have to get creative. It doesn't matter about the glitz and glamour. The true magic is in your relationship. Sometimes it's always sparkling. Other times, you have to polish it up real well to see the glimmer.
This year, my hubby and I had to opt for a heart-shaped pizza in bed over a late night out on the town. I get to prop my feet up and enjoy all the delicious junk food my baby is craving. We get a few moments to ourselves before Ledger and Elle crash our indoor picnic. If you're a parent, you know that you can't have secret food stashed away...little ones WILL discover it!
No matter how you're spending Valentine's Day this year - at a candle lit dinner, Netflix and chill, or eating ice cream and drinking wine with your gals - I hope you know that you are loved. All of my customers are loved by me and my team at Eccentrics....and not just on Valentine's Day!
XO,
Lauren Craig
